Article I. IN GENERAL |
§ 2-9. Regulations governing use of courthouse.
(a)
All officials and others having offices in the courthouse are to have full and free use of same for business purposes only, and said officials are hereby requested to cooperate with the police jury in preserving and maintaining the building and grounds in good condition and keeping same in a neat and clean condition.
(b)
It is expressly forbidden to use any of the rooms, or offices, of the courthouse for the purpose of carrying on any game or games of any character whatever.
(c)
The courthouse shall be closed and locked at night, and only those having legitimate business in their offices shall be furnished with keys.
(d)
Anyone occupying an office in the courthouse will be required to comply with these regulations and their failure to do so will forfeit their right to said office and they will be required to vacate same upon notice given by the courthouse committee.
(e)
The clerk of the police jury is hereby instructed to furnish each occupant of an office in [the] courthouse with a copy of these regulations.
(f)
It shall be unlawful for any person to smoke any type of tobacco, including but not necessarily limited to cigarettes, pipes, and cigars inside of the Webster Parish Courthouse Building, Webster Parish, Louisiana, with the exception of the fourth floor and one (1) room on the ground floor (employees only) which are designated as smoking areas.
