§ 9-1. Littering and dumping on public rights-of-way.

  • (a)

    No person, firm or corporation shall intentionally or negligently dump, leave or deposit any glass or metallic objects, rubbish, trash, refuse or garbage, or any similar articles or objects on any public rights-of-way, nor on the lands adjacent thereto.

    (b)

    Whosoever shall violate any provisions of this section shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and shall be punished by a fine not less than one hundred dollars ($100.00) nor more than five hundred dollars ($500.00) or by incarceration on the Webster Parish Penal Farm for a period not to exceed thirty (30) days, or both; and in addition shall perform not less than two (2) and not more than ten (10) eight-hour days of community service.
