§ 2-40.2. Random drug testing of employees; when applicable.
(a)
Random drug testing of any employee will be the prerogative of the Police Jury.
(b)
The Webster Parish Police Jury reserves the right to require random drug/alcohol screens of employees on probation for chemical dependency. Dates and times for screens will be at the direction of the parish secretary-treasurer. Refusal to take such a test by an employee on probation will result in immediate termination.
(c)
All test results will remain the property of the Webster Parish Police Jury and all test results will be kept confidential.
(d)
Any disciplinary action taken as a result of this policy may be appealed by the employee to the Webster Parish Police Jury.
(e)
Any deviation from this policy will require prior approval by the Webster Parish Police Jury.
