§ 2-39. Same—When mandatory drug screening applicable.

(a)

Before hired as an employee of the Webster Parish Police Jury, proposed employees will be given a mandatory drug screen, at the expense of the Police Jury. Any person who refuses to submit to such a test will not be hired. Any person for whom such test positive will not be hired.

(b)

Any employee up for promotion will be given a mandatory drug screen at the expense of the Police Jury. Any employee who refuses to submit such a test will not be promoted. Any employee for whom such a test is positive for any drug not prescribed by a licensed physician will be subject to the sanctions as provided in section 2-40.
