§ 2-29. Separation pay.
Each employee [of the parish] upon separation from service shall be paid the value of his accrued annual vacation in a lump sum. The payment for such vacation shall be computed as follows:
(1)
When an employee is entitled to ten (10) days' vacation per year he shall be paid at the rate of eighty-four-hundredths (.84) of a day per month. When an employee is paid on a monthly basis, determine his daily rate by converting his monthly salary to a working day rate and multiply by the number of days of accrued vacation.

When an employee is entitled to fifteen (15) days' vacation per year he shall be paid at the rate of one and three-tenths (1.3) days per month. When an employee is paid on a monthly basis, determine his daily rate by converting his monthly salary to a working day rate and multiply by the number of days of accrued vacation.
