§ 2-29.1. Courthouse and jail maintenance employee overtime work and compensatory time.

  • (1)

    If any courthouse maintenance employee is required by his supervisor to work at any time he is not regularly required to be on duty, the employee shall be given compensatory leave.

    (2)

    Employees may be paid time and one-half for extra time to be based on his or her regular rate of pay or be permitted to take leave equal to the number of hours worked over forty (40) per week.

    (3)

    The courthouse and jail maintenance superintendent is required to keep a record of compensatory leave and to report it at the close of each pay period indicating whether the employee is to be paid for the extra time or to take leave to compensate.
