§ 2-27. Sick leave pay supplemental to workmen's compensation.

  • Employees unable to work on account of an injury received while on the job will be compensated as follows:

    (1)

    First month. An employee will receive workmen's compensation plus that portion of his or her salary needed to equal one hundred (100) per cent.

    (2)

    Second month. An employee will receive workmen's compensation plus that portion of his or her salary needed to equal seventy-five (75) per cent of salary and accumulated sick leave pay sufficient to equal one hundred (100) per cent.

    (3)

    Third month. An employee will receive workmen's compensation plus that portion of his or her salary needed to equal sixty (60) per cent of salary and accumulated sick leave pay sufficient to equal one hundred (100) per cent.

    (4)

    Beyond third month. Employees injured on the job, who are unable to return to work within a three (3) month period shall be permitted to receive sick leave pay, provided they have time accumulated, in an amount plus workmen's compensation, needed to equal one hundred (100) per cent of his or her regular pay, but at no time will an employee be permitted to receive more than one hundred (100) per cent of his or her normal wage.
