§ 21-40. Attendant requirements.

No person shall serve as an attendant in an ambulance in this parish and no holder of an ambulance operator's license shall permit patients to be attended in any ambulance under his ownership or control by any person who does not meet the requirements as outlined by the provisions below:
(1)

Is at least eighteen (18) years of age;

(2)

Is at least a state-certified emergency medical technician-basic, EMT-intermediate, EMT-paramedic, registered nurse or licensed physician;

(3)

Has no history of alcohol or chemical dependence; and

(4)

Exhibits that he is familiar with the provisions of this article.
