Art. II. - AMBULANCE SERVICES AND EMERGENCY MEDICAL CARE |
§ 21-39. Pilots' requirements.
(a)
No person shall pilot an air ambulance responding to calls occurring in this parish, and no holder of an ambulance operator license shall permit an air ambulance under his ownership or control to be driven in this parish unless the pilot shall meet the requirements as outlined by the provisions below:
(1)
Possess a current pilot's license issued by the Federal Aviation Administration appropriate for the class and category of aircraft and operations;
(2)
Unless he is employed solely as a pilot of an air ambulance, possesses a current state certified first responder or emergency medical technician certification;
(3)
Has not been convicted of two (2) or more moving traffic violations during the year preceding the filing of the application, nor convicted of any DWI or drug-related traffic offenses within five (5) years;
(4)
Has no history of alcohol or chemical dependence; and
(5)
Exhibits that he is familiar with the geography of Webster Parish and the provisions of this article.
