§ 13-4. Removal, cutting and damaging of trees, shrubs, etc.

  • (a)

    It shall be unlawful for any person, partnership, firm or corporation to remove or cut or damage any tree, flower, shrub or natural plant along the streams and highways or to remove any of said trees, flowers, shrubs or natural plants from private property in Webster Parish, Louisiana without a written permit from the owner thereof.

    (b)

    The violation of any provision of this [section] shall be a misdemeanor and any and all persons, firms or corporations who shall perform the acts of violation upon conviction thereof shall be fined not less than ten dollars ($10.00) nor more than one hundred dollars ($100.00), or imprisoned not less than five (5) days, nor more than thirty (30) days, or both, in the discretion of the court, and each violation shall constitute a separate offense punishable as above set forth.
