§ 6-22. Penalties.

  • Any person, or persons, agent, firm or corporation who shall violate any of the provisions of this [article] or any person, persons, agent, firm or corporation interfering with, or resisting, any person or inspector while in the performance of his duty in carrying out the provisions of this [article] shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction therefor shall be fined not less than ten dollars ($10.00) nor more than fifty dollars ($50.00) or in default of the payment of said fine shall be imprisoned in the parish jail not less than ten (10) days nor more than thirty (30) days, or shall be both fined and imprisoned at the discretion of the court.
