§ 5-1. Dance halls generally—Prohibited locations.

  • (a)

    No person, either as agent, employee, incorporator, manager, or in any capacity whatsoever shall conduct a dance hall outside the limits of the City of Minden, and within the Parish of Webster within three hundred (300) yards of any private dwelling house, school or church, nor shall any dance hall be permitted or conducted within three hundred (300) yards of any place or premises upon which intoxicating liquors are sold or dispensed. Intoxicating liquor under this [section] shall mean any beverage containing more than one (1) per cent of alcohol by volume.

    (b)

    The violation of any provision of this [section] shall be a misdemeanor, and the provisions shall apply to the owner of the property, the tenant or agent, and to each and every employee, musician, operator, agent, doorkeeper and other person having knowledge that said dance is operated within the prohibited areas and connected with said premises or its operation in any way. In the case of a club or organization, each member having any part in conduct of said dance or attending same shall be guilty of a violation of this [section].
