§ 5-2. Same—Closing hours.
(a)
The following closing hours shall apply to dances and dance halls within Webster Parish, Louisiana:
(1)
[Outside of legally incorporated cities, towns and villages] it shall be unlawful to permit dancing in public dance halls, or to operate public dance halls from 12:00 midnight on Saturday to 6:00 a.m. Monday morning of each week. On all other days of the week the closing hour of public dance halls in the Parish of Webster shall be 12:00 midnight, after which hour all public dance halls shall be closed and shall remain closed until 6:00 a.m. the following morning, and it shall be unlawful to operate same, or to permit dancing in same between the hours of 12:00 midnight and 6:00 a.m.
(2)
All such [dance halls outside the city of Minden other than those covered by (1) above] shall close at 12:00 midnight and remain closed until after 6:00 a.m. the following morning.
(b)
Whoever shall violate any of the provisions of this [section other than (2) of paragraph (a) above] shall, upon conviction, pay a fine not to exceed one hundred dollars ($100.00) or shall be imprisoned not to exceed thirty (30) days, in the discretion of the court.
(c)
The violation of any provision of [(2) of paragraph (a) above] shall be a misdemeanor, and the provisions shall apply to the owner of the property, the tenant or agent, and to each and every employee, musician, operator, agent, doorkeeper and other person having knowledge that said dance [hall] is operated within the prohibited areas and connected with said premises or its operation in any way. In the case of a club or organization, each member having any part in conduct of said dance or attending same shall be guilty of a violation of [(2) of paragraph (a) above].
