§ 2-25. Holidays designated, etc.

(a)

All parish employees are to observe the following holidays within each calendar year: New Year's Day; Memorial Day; July Fourth; Labor Day; Thanksgiving Day; Christmas Day and one floating holiday.

(b)

If a holiday falls on Saturday, employees shall observe the Friday preceding it and holidays falling on Sunday will be observed the following Monday.

(c)

Christmas Eve shall be a holiday when it falls during a regular work week only.

(d)

In lieu of Veterans' Day as a holiday for parish employees, the Friday after Thanksgiving shall be observed.
