§ 21-24. Applicability.

(a)

All ambulances, all personnel, and all ambulance services in the Parish of Webster shall be governed by the provision of this article, unless specifically exempted.

(b)

The provisions of this article shall not be applicable to the following:

(1)

Medical transportation vehicles and ambulances owned and operated by the United States Government or any agency thereof;

(2)

Medical transportation vehicles and ambulances owned and operated by the state of Louisiana or any agency thereof;

(3)

Industrial ambulances owned and operated by an industry for the sole purpose of providing emergency transport to their employees;

(4)

Emergency vehicles owned and operated by any organized fire department; and

(5)

Medical transportation vehicles and ambulances providing nonemergency, noncritical interhospital transfer and patient transportation for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes when such transportation originates at a licensed hospital.
