§ 16-70. Selection of fiscal agent.

The board of commissioners of the waterworks district shall, at the time of their organization, select one (1) of the solvent chartered banks within the parish where the district is organized in which all of the money of the district shall be deposited. They shall thereafter on the first Monday in June biannually elect a fiscal agent after an advertisement of fifteen (15) days in a newspaper published in the district, and if there be no newspaper in the district, then in the official journal of the parish where the district is located.
