§ 16-69. Same—Meetings.

The commissioners of the district shall meet as often as necessary, but shall meet at least once every sixty (60) days. The absence of a commissioner from any four (4) consecutive meetings shall be deemed as a vacancy and it shall be filled by the police jury if the commissioner had been appointed by the jury. The members of the board of commissioners shall each receive a per diem of twenty-five dollars ($25.00) for each meeting they attend, but shall not be paid for more than twelve (12) meetings in each year. They shall be paid out of the district funds in the hand of the treasurer.
