Article II. UTILIZATION REQUIREMENTS |
§ 15-18. Definitions.
As used in this article the following words, terms and phrases shall have the meanings respectively ascribed to them by this section, unless the context clearly indicates otherwise:
Person shall mean any individual, group of individuals, firm, partnership, association, corporation or other legal entity, natural or civil, proposing to utilize parish roads, rights-of-way or bridges.
Private utilities shall mean any person as so noted, regularly and routinely engaged in the utility business in Webster Parish, not regulated by the Louisiana Public Service Commission, but charging retail rates to its customers on a monthly basis.
Public utilities shall mean any person as so noted, which is regularly and routinely engaged in the public utility business in Webster Parish, under regulation of the Louisiana Public Service Commission, and charging retail rates to its customers on a monthly basis.
WPPJ shall mean the Webster Parish Police Jury, acting by and through its president, its secretary-treasurer, its road superintendents and their assigns, located at 410 Main Street, Minden, Louisiana. Telephone (318) 377-7564.
