§ 15-6. Throwing trash, rubbish, etc., on public highways, other public property prohibited.

  • (a)

    It shall be unlawful for any person to place, permit to remain, or dispose, or throw upon any public highway, road, ditch or drain any rubbish or material or trash of any sort; [nor shall any] person place any rubbish, garbage or trash of any sort on any public road, highway, ditch, drain, park or other public place within the Parish of Webster.

    (b)

    It shall be unlawful for any person to place, permit to remain, or dispose, or throw upon any dumping area operated by the Webster Parish Police Jury any rubbish, garbage or trash of any sort upon any area not specifically designated for such dumping by the Webster Parish Police Jury.

    (c)

    Any person, firm, or corporation who violates the provisions of this section shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction shall be fined in a sum not more than one hundred dollars ($100.00), and not less than ten dollars ($10.00), or shall be imprisoned for a period not to exceed thirty (30) days, or both fine and imprisonment may be imposed at the discretion of the court.
