§ 14-19. Same—Number of members; no compensation; terms, etc.

(a)

The regional planning commission shall consist of five (5) members; two (2) to be appointed by the mayor of Minden with the approval of the city council, and two (2) members to be appointed by the president of the police jury of Webster Parish with the approval of the police jury, and one (1) member to be appointed by the mayor of Minden and the president of the police jury jointly. Planning commission members appointed by the mayor of Minden shall be residents of the City of Minden and the members appointed by the president of the police jury shall be selected from residents of the wards lying wholly or partly within the planning region.

(b)

All members shall serve without compensation and hold no other public office. Of the members first appointed, the term of office of one member shall be for one (1) year, one member for two (2) years, one member for three (3) years, one member for four (4) years and one member for five (5) years.
