In order to carry out the provisions of R.S. 33:4727, the Webster Parish police jury
may appoint a board of adjustment which shall consist of five (5) members, who shall
be freeholders and qualified voters. The membership of the first board shall serve
for one (1), two (2), three (3), four (4) and five (5) years, respectively. Thereafter,
members shall be appointed for terms of five (5) years each. All members shall be
removable for cause by the appointing authority upon written charges and after public
hearings. Vacancies shall be filled by the appointing authority for the unexpired
term of any member whose term becomes vacant. The board shall function in the manner
and with the powers and duties set forth in R.S. 33:4727.
