§ 9-17. Depositable material.

  • Only household trash and garbage may be placed in the containers, "garbage" meaning all organic refuse of animal, fruit, and vegetable matter normally associated with food preparation; "trash" meaning other waste matter such as debris, rubbish, ashes, sweepings, tin cans, rags, clothing, and other inorganic material associated with a house, and also including cut grass, cut weeds, pine straw, twigs, and small tree trimmings that can be handled by one man, and in no case shall be longer than three (3) feet and have dimensions that shall not exceed three (3) feet in any direction. Industrial waste, tree trimmings as a result of contractual services, building debris from erection or repairing of any buildings, dead fowl and animals shall not be placed in a container.
