§ 2-4. Same—Expenditure of funds restricted.

(a)

There shall not be expended from any one of the various funds budgeted by the police jury any sum, in any one month in excess of one-twelfth ( 1/12 ) of said budget, unless authority for the expenditure of any sum in excess thereof is first obtained from the jury in regular session convened allowing expenditure in excess of such amount.

(b)

No voucher shall be issued by [the] police jury in any one month in excess of one-twelfth ( 1/12 ) of the amount contained in the budget unless authorized by the police jury in regular session convened.

(c)

No obligation shall be contracted by any member of the police jury calling for future payment of funds in violation of paragraph (a) above.
