§ 21-28. Ambulances required.

(a)

No person shall transport or cause to be transported any patient by stretcher originating in Webster Parish in any vehicle other than an ambulance which meets KKK-A-1822 and Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals specifications, except as provided in subsection (b).

(b)

Exceptions:

(1)

Alternate vehicles may be used to transport sick, ill or injured persons when it is determined by the 911 communications center that no ambulance is immediately available to respond.

(2)

Private vehicles may be used to transport sick, ill, or injured persons when there is no charge.
