§ 15-8. Destruction, removal, or defacing of signs and devices; penalty.

  • Any person who shall willfully destroy, deface, mar, damage, pull down or remove any road sign, street sign, milepost, signboard, index board, road number, or railroad crossing sign or flasher signal or other traffic control device or information sign, in addition to liability to replacement or repair costs, shall be fined five hundred dollars ($500.00), or be imprisoned in the parish jail for not more than thirty (30) days, or both.
