§ 14-56. Same—Regular term; filling vacancy.

All directors of the development board hereafter elected to succeed the directors named in section 14-55 hereof, and their successors, shall serve terms of six years each, except that any director appointed to fill a vacancy shall (if and to the extent this exception is in conformity with the Act) serve only for the unexpired term of such office. If, at the expiration of the term of office of any director, a successor thereto has not been elected, then the director whose term of office has expired, shall continue to hold office until his successor shall be so elected.
