§ 14-2. Same—Member compensation and terms; filling vacancies.

All members of the commission shall serve without compensation. The members of the commission first appointed shall hold office for terms of one, two (2), three (3), four (4), five (5), six (6), seven (7), and eight (8) years, respectively; their successors shall be appointed for a term of nine (9) years from and after expiration of the term of their predecessors in office. If a vacancy occurs otherwise than by expiration of term, it shall be filled by appointment for the unexpired term.
